Privacy Policy

Last updated:

This policy describes what information RestaurantGPT collects, how we use it, and your rights regarding it. We aim for plain language — if anything is unclear, contact us.

1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly — including your name, email address, restaurant name, and any details you submit through forms on this site. When restaurant operators sign up for the platform, we additionally collect business information necessary to provide the service: bank account and tax information (handled by Stripe), menu and pricing data, customer order data, and any content you upload. We also collect technical information automatically: IP address, browser type, device information, and usage analytics. We use cookies and similar technologies to deliver and improve the service.

2. How we use your information

We use information to operate and improve the platform, communicate with you about the service, prevent fraud and abuse, comply with legal obligations, and — with your consent — send marketing communications. We do not sell your personal information or your customers' personal information to third parties.

3. Third-party processors

We work with reputable service providers who help us run the platform: Stripe (payments), Neon (database hosting), Vercel (application hosting), Better Auth (authentication), Uber Direct (delivery dispatch), Deliverect (POS integration), and OpenAI / Anthropic (text and content generation). Each receives only the information needed to perform their role.

4. Customer data ownership

Restaurant operators using our platform retain ownership of their customer data. We act as a data processor on their behalf. End diners interacting with a restaurant's site or ordering flow should refer to that specific restaurant's privacy policy for restaurant-specific data practices.

5. Data retention

We retain account and order data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your data at any time, subject to legal record-keeping requirements.

6. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information; to object to certain processing; and to withdraw consent. Email legal@restaurantgpt.xyz to exercise any of these rights.

7. Cookies

We use cookies for essential functionality (authentication, session management), preferences (remembering your settings), and analytics (understanding how the platform is used). You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling some may affect functionality.

8. Children

The platform is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced via email to active customers and via a notice on the site. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
